An investment portfolio tracker for all your accounts

Sonar brings the stocks, ETFs, funds, coins and cash you hold across brokerages, exchanges and wallets into one portfolio, and shows what it's worth, how it has done and what moved it.

Updated October 27, 2026

An investment portfolio tracker answers three questions that no single brokerage app can: what do I own across every account, what is it worth right now, and how has it done once deposits and withdrawals are taken out. Sonar answers them for stocks, ETFs, funds, crypto and brokerage cash together, in one portfolio on the web, in nine languages and in the currency you think in.

What it tracks

  • Stocks, ETFs and funds from US brokerage accounts, retirement accounts included when your institution connects through Plaid, or from any broker's CSV export.
  • Crypto in self-custody wallets on more than 50 networks, read by public address, and on exchanges such as Coinbase and Kraken.
  • Cash held in your brokerage and exchange accounts.
  • Anything else you invest in that has a ticker, added by hand.

Sonar doesn't track bank accounts, real estate, vehicles or loans. If you want those in the same total, see how it compares with Kubera and Monarch.

The numbers that matter

Net worth and history

One total across every account, recorded every day, with the change over the last hour, day, week, month, year or all time. See the net worth tracker page for how the figure is built.

Net worth in the sample portfolio across exchanges, wallets and brokerages: the total, the change over 24 hours and the chart.

Returns that ignore your deposits

Performance is time-weighted, so adding money doesn't count as a gain and taking it out doesn't count as a loss. Put your line next to the S&P 500 and Bitcoin on the same chart. The portfolio return guide explains the difference between time-weighted and money-weighted returns.

Profit, loss and cost basis

Every holding shows its value, profit or loss and weight. Cost basis comes from your transactions, whether they were synced, imported or typed in. More in what cost basis is.

Allocation

Context on every holding

On Starter, every stock and coin you hold shows its social data: mentions, engagement, sentiment, social dominance, top creators and a week of news. On Standard, coins also show onchain activity, and AI alerts tell you when something unusual happens to anything you hold. It all covers only assets you hold, so it stays about your money. Sonar describes what's happening; it never tells you to buy, sell or hold.

Your portfolio in Claude and ChatGPT

Sonar's MCP connector lets Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor read your portfolio when you ask, read-only:

Which of my accounts did best this month, and why?
How much of my portfolio is in my five largest holdings?

The same data is available through a REST API and a command-line tool. See the AI portfolio tracker.

Read-only from end to end

Wallets are read by public address. Brokerages and exchanges connect through Plaid for investment data only; your login for them never reaches Sonar, and Sonar never asks for exchange API keys. Nothing Sonar holds can place a trade or move money. The security page has the details.

FAQ

What is an investment portfolio tracker?

An app that collects the investments you hold across accounts into one list, values them at current prices and measures how they've done. Unlike a brokerage app, it covers every account you have, not only one institution's.

Is there an app for iPhone and Android?

Sonar runs in any browser today, on phones too. Apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android are coming, and your account carries over.

Can it track crypto and stocks together?

Yes, in one portfolio with one net worth and one performance line. See the crypto and stock portfolio tracker.

Does Sonar give financial advice?

No. It reports what you own and what's happening to it. Decisions stay yours.
