A net worth tracker for everything you invest in
Sonar adds up your stocks, ETFs, funds, coins and brokerage cash into one figure, records it every day and shows what moved it, in the currency you think in.
Updated October 27, 2026
Your investments probably live in several places, each with its own login and its own total. Sonar brings them into one number and keeps that number current, so checking your investment net worth takes one look instead of an evening with a spreadsheet.
What counts toward it
Sonar tracks investments:
- Stocks, ETFs and mutual funds from brokerage accounts, connected or imported.
- Cash held in connected brokerage accounts.
- Crypto in wallets on more than 50 networks and, on Starter, Standard and Premium, on crypto exchanges connected through Plaid.
- Anything you add by hand or import from a CSV, such as a coin on an exchange you can't connect.
It doesn't connect bank accounts, credit cards or loans, and it doesn't value property or cars. If your full balance sheet includes a home or a mortgage, Sonar shows the invested part of it, and shows it in detail.
How the number is built
- Current prices times what you hold. Coin prices refresh through the day and night; stock and fund prices follow the US trading session. A late or missing price is flagged instead of shown as current.
- A snapshot every day. Sonar records your net worth daily, so the history fills in on its own.
- History before you signed up. Import past transactions and Sonar rebuilds your portfolio's value from daily closing prices, so the chart starts when you started.
- Deposits kept apart from gains. The performance view splits the change into market gain and net money added, so a transfer in doesn't look like a good week.
What you see
- One total with the change over the last hour, day, week, month, year or all time.
- A history chart with a table view of the same figures, for any range.
- Allocation by class (stocks, funds, cash, crypto), by holding and by account.
- Accounts side by side. Click an account to see only what it holds, or filter your holdings to a few accounts at once.
- Time-weighted performance, comparable with the S&P 500 (SPY) and Bitcoin.
- Profit and loss, unrealized for each holding and realized over the last 12 months, plus dividends and interest from connected brokerages and imported histories.

In your currency, in your language
Amounts can be shown in about 30 currencies, including euros, pounds, yen, won and yuan, converted at daily reference rates. Everything is still stored in US dollars, so switching currency changes the display, not your history. The app itself is available in nine languages.
Keeping it current without effort
Connected wallets, exchanges and brokerages resync on their own: daily on Free, every 6 hours on Starter, Standard and Premium. Brokerage and exchange connections through Plaid are on Starter, Standard and Premium and cover US institutions. For everything else, a CSV import or a position added by hand keeps the total complete. The crypto and stock portfolio tracker page lists every source.
Alerts on what moves it
On Standard and Premium, Sonar watches every asset you hold and emails you when something unusual happens to one of them: a large price move, a spike in social activity or a major story. Alerts say what changed and over what window, nothing more.
Ask about it in Claude or ChatGPT
With Sonar's MCP connector, an AI assistant can read your portfolio when you ask. On Standard:
How has my net worth changed this month, and which holdings drove it?
What share of my portfolio is in crypto, and what share is in funds?
The connector is read-only and covers only what you hold. See the AI portfolio tracker page.
Private by design
Sonar only reads. It never asks for private keys or exchange API keys, and never sees your brokerage or exchange password. Your portfolio is isolated from every other account at the database level, analytics don't run inside the app, and your data isn't sold. Export your transactions or delete your account at any time. More on the security page.
Pricing in brief
Free covers the portfolio and net worth, live prices, manual entry, CSV import and one connected wallet. Starter is $7 a month and Standard $11 a month, with more connected accounts, brokerages and exchanges through Plaid, faster syncing, social data, alerts and AI tools; Standard adds onchain data.
